Yvonne Gregory's lifelong passion for painting started early and, with the help and inspiration of a very dedicated art teacher at secondary school, she obtained an "O" level pass in art.
Yvonne has been able to continue with her love of painting much more deeply since retiring and moving to the Test Valley.
Her passion has been inspired and nurtured by various tutors during this time and her paintings have beem shown in a number of exhibitions in the Test Valley area. These include The best of Hamshire Artists Exhibition at the Sir Harold Hilliers Gardens where she received a highly commended award for a painting of hydrangeas; it reflected Yvonne's love of flower subjects.
Although her favourite medium - she considers watercolour as the most exciting of media - she also uses pastels and is at last, and after a struggle, mastering acrylic paints.
Yvonne joined ArtSeen at its inception and is an enthusiastic member of this vibrant group.
