As an artist, Lynne works to develop paintings that represent an impression of the subject leaving the viewer their imagination.
Inspiration for her work comes from visiting different places. One of her favourite areas is Cornwall, particularly St Ives with its artistic history, Harbour, narrow cobbled streets and beaches.
Working from on site sketches and photo reference of a particular scene, Lynne begins a painting with abstract shapes of colour and textures using collage and mixed media, continuing to work with acrylic paint and inks this allows the painting to evolve freely and with feeling.
Lynne’s latest work includes the use of gold leaf - as seen in the paintings Jurassic Coast and Ammonites.
