In 2003, I completed an Open College of the Arts postal watercolour painting course, receiving a Diploma. I now belong to an art group in my village and attended adult education classes in Romsey.
Painting in oils is my favourite, I love using pastels and I love to draw. I take a lot of inspiration from painting outside with ever changing skies, landscapes and seascapes. I often use photographs to expand on ideas. Sketching (undercover!) in public places is always fun, catching people unawares and I get great ideas on how people sit, stand or walk, unaware that they are being sketched.
I have exhibited widely with ArtSeen in Romsey Town Hall, Stockbridge Town Hall, Mottisfont, Highcliffe Castle, Hilliers Arboretum and in local village halls.
